This has similarities to the ideas that we have of using jump cuts in between performance and the narrative. During performance there are close ups on the effect that we will have to master of lip syncing. There is also the slight use of an urban setting which is a slight sidetrack from the stereo typical setting of the genre.

Mumford & Sons

This has similarities to what we are planning for our music genre with close up camera shots on instruments being played by the band this represents the importance of the instruments to the genre. This is shown by the close up emphasises the instrument. Also close ups are used on the band singing the words, this emphasises the importance of the words in all indie genres.

Ed Sheeran

In this video the similarities it has for our music video is that of a narrative. Shots like reaction shots are used to maintain the story and see how the characters in the video react to what is happening, this therefore helps the narrative procede in music videos. Also establishing shots are used to set the scene this gives the audience of the video a broad idea of what is going on in the narrative.

Olly Murs

This video is not 100% in our genre but the song is about the same topic as ours which is love. This video uses the effect of overlaying a video over the top of the present time in the same location, but the overlay fades in and out showing the passing of time in the video, and that the relation ship is no more.
